From the supplier: Over 20 human papillomaviruses (HPVs) are transmitted through sexual contact with the cervix, vagina, vulva, anus, and external genitalia, and are significant factors in morbidity. Health Canada has established goals to determine and monitor the rates of HPV infection, decrease the number of diseases associated with HPVs, and promote clinical research in HPVs. Significant progress toward developing vaccines for HPVs was made in 1997.
